Alexandra District Health is a fully accredited public Health Service, which comprises of 25 acute and 5 day procedure beds. We also extensive Community Health service and specialsit consutling service.

Trainee Accountant

Alexandra District Health (ADH) is seeking a trainee Accountant who is keen to develop their accounting and finance skills while also providing assistance and support to the ADH finance team.

Your primary role will be to support the processes associated with both the accounts payable and receivable functions at Alexandra District Health, assist the Finance Manager with the finalisation of month and year end financial results as well as providing generalist accounting support across the organisation.

This role would be ideally suited to someone who is studying towards, or has recently completed, tertiary education in an accounting and/or business related discipline. General administration skills along with Microsoft Office experience would also be advantageous.

For the right applicant, ADH would also be willing to support further study that is relevant to the position.

Experience in the health sector would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

If you have advanced cooking skills, a trade background or experience cooking in commercial kitchens and want to work more sociable hours then this job is for you.

 

Catering and Domestic Services Assistants:

We are looking for staff with an attention to detail, an understanding of hygiene standards and a commitment to teamwork. Previous experience in these roles would be an advantage.

Perioperative Services Manager

Situated northeast of Melbourne, Alexandra is one of the most picturesque and liveability areas of Victoria.  Surrounded by the natural beauty of rivers, forests and parks, with easy access to fishing and boating, snowfields, and wineries.

Alexandra District Health is the major health service organisation within the Shire of Murrindindi and has a long and proud history in health related service provision to the area, providing inpatient and outpatient services including specialist medical services, operating theatre services, radiology, pathology and district nursing. In addition, the hospital delivers community health services including a wide range of allied health and health promotion services.

We are seeking an experienced manager for this part time, 7 days per fortnight role, to lead, direct and co-ordinate our perioperative services within our theatre complex. We have a state of the art theatre supported by CSD and 6 day surgery beds. You will be responsible for maintaining clinical standards and best practice, through continual quality improvement initiatives and evidence based risk management strategies.

This exciting opportunity is ideally suited to a highly motivated professional with advanced clinical skills, exceptional leadership and demonstrable management experience with a commitment to personal and professional development.  Demonstration of negotiation and conflict resolution skills, decision making and communication skills with the ability to manage change are essential in this rural setting.  Candidates will have a current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
