Manager People and Culture

Alexandra District Health is seeking an experienced HR practitioner to facilitate a partnership approach to deliver people related initiatives and outcomes in line with the strategic and operational goals and targets of the health service.  The position provides leadership and guidance to the organisation in addressing its people related business issues, creating a high performing culture, and building a reputation in the health sector and region as an employer of choice.

The position of Manager People & Culture is a newly created opportunity.  The organisation is going through a cultural change process and as a result, requires an astute professional experienced HR practitioner to coach and support the Executive and managers, and provide support to staff.

This is a genuine opportunity to put your own mark on this role and make a difference to the whole of the organisation culture.  Work under the direction of an experienced and motivated leader, and bring significant contribution to the HR function and strategic workforce direction of the organisation.

You will possess strong experience in a human resources generalist or employee relations capacity, ideally within a health service or related environment.  You will be qualified and have experience in interpreting and translating industrial instrument and legislation, demonstrable experience working with supervisors to build leadership capacity, performance management initiatives and assistance on all aspects of human resources to all levels of the organisation.  Using your exceptional communication skills coupled with your knowledge of contemporary human resources and industrial relations you will manage multiple stakeholder engagement and grow the function.  Being a stand-alone role, you will be adaptable and have capacity to undertake administrative human resources tasks, in addition to strategic requirements.

Nurse Unit Manager

Alexandra District Health is the major health service organisation within the Shire of Murrindindi and has a long and proud history in health related service provision to the area, providing inpatient and outpatient services including specialist medical services, operating theatre services, radiology, pathology and district nursing. In addition the hospital delivers community health services including a wide range of allied health and health promotion services.

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead, direct and co-ordinate patient care within our 26 bed Acute ward and 3 bay Urgent Care service. You will be responsible for maintaining clinical standards and best practice, through continual quality improvement initiatives and evidence based risk management strategies.

You will possess advanced clinical skills, exceptional leadership and demonstrable management experience with a commitment to personal and professional development.  Demonstration of negotiation and conflict resolution skills, decision making and communication skills with the ability to manage change are essential in this rural setting.  Candidates will have a current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
