Maintenance Officer Permanent Part-time 24 hours per week

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Officer to undertake routine maintenance, repairs, assessment and maintenance of buildings, plant, equipment and environment.

You will have a broad range of general handyperson skills including carpentry, painting and mechanical as well as experience or knowledge of grounds and garden maintenance. You will have the ability to work independently and manage your own work tasks and have a sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) 48 hrs per fortnight (0.64 EFT) – permanent ongoing position (Classification YW11 - YW12).

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the clinical leadership team. The ANUM is an integral member of the management team, working with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment and is responsible for the delivery of quality care within the Acute Ward and Urgent Care, ensuring that patients are encouraged to be partners in care planning, goal setting and decision making.

You will maintain clinical standards and best practice, through continual quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based risk management strategies. You will be responsible for leading & coordinating a multidisciplinary team and maintaining a positive working environment for staff by demonstrating and fostering the ADH values.

In the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager you will be required to lead, direct and coordinate patient care in our 25 bed Acute Ward, and our Urgent Care.

You will have advanced clinical skills with experience in acute nursing, including palliative care, emergency nursing and medical/surgical nursing. Leadership and management skills are essential with commitment to own personal and professional development. Demonstration of negotiation and conflict resolution skills, decision making, effective time management and communication skills with the ability to manage change are essential.

SUPPORT SERVICES ASSISTANTS (CATERING AND DOMESTIC) – CASUAL

The casual positions are responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals, the administration of food services, the distribution of meals and the cleanliness of the kitchen ensuring Food Safety Plan (FSP) objectives are met at all times.

Whilst working within the domestic services area staff are responsible for maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness standards in the hospital, ensuring the work place is safe at all times for patients, clients, staff and the community.
