Collaborative Graduate Nurse Program 2021

Alexandra District Health (ADH) is seeking candidates for Graduate Registered Nurse positions to participate in our 12 month Graduate Nurse Program.  This program is a collaborative Graduate Nurse Program in partnership with Eastern Health (EH).

ADH is a major health service within the Shire of Murrindindi and has long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing medical and surgical care in a wide range of specialties, as well as multiple Primary Health programs.

This unique program offers the Graduate Nurse both a rural and metropolitan experience, with 6 month rotations, one at Alexandra, the other at one of Eastern Health’s sites.

Reporting to the Acute Services Manager & Training & Development Coordinator, the Graduate Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of inpatients on our 25 bed acute medical surgical ward, and participation in our dynamic program.  This includes study days, and the opportunity to experience other areas of our health service including Urgent Care Centre, Operating Theatre, and Primary Health services.

We are looking for a Graduate Registered Nurse who reflects our values at ADH & EH, and demonstrates a high level of interpersonal & communication skills, organisation skills, a willingness to be proactive in taking on learning opportunities & a strong commitment to providing a high level of patient centred care.  The Graduate Registered Nurse will be well supported with orientation and supernumery days, a preceptor, nursing educator, and friendly collaborative team environment.  Subsidised accommodation is available for Graduate Nurses.

Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program

Graduate Position – 12 month contract, part time 0.84 EFT

 

Alexandra District Health (ADH) is a major health service within the Shire of Murrindindi and has long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing medical and surgical care in a wide range of specialties, as well as multiple Primary Health programs.

ADH is seeking to support a newly qualified Enrolled Nurse to participate in our 12 month Transition to Practice Program, commencing on Monday the 9th of November, 2020.  This program provides newly graduated Enrolled Nurses the opportunity to participate in a supportive program that will assist them to transition from the novice Enrolled Nurse during their first year of registration.

Reporting to the Acute Services Manager & Training & Development Coordinator, the Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the care of inpatients on our 25 bed acute medical surgical ward, and participation in our dynamic program.

The Enrolled Nurse will be well supported with orientation and supernumery days, with the support from the Training & Development Coordinator & clinical support nurses in a friendly collaborative team environment.  The program also involves participation in study days & discovery days, giving you an opportunity to experience other areas of our health service including Urgent Care Centre, Operating Theatre, and Primary Health services.  Subsidised fully furnished accommodation is available.

SUPPORT SERVICES ASSISTANTS (CATERING AND DOMESTIC) – CASUAL

Alexandra District Health is a major health service within the Shire of Murrindindi and has long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing inpatient, outpatient services and primary health services.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The casual positions are responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals, the administration of food services, the distribution of meals and the cleanliness of the kitchen ensuring Food Safety Plan (FSP) objectives are met at all times.

Whilst working within the domestic services area staff are responsible for maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness standards in the hospital, ensuring the work place is safe at all times for patients, clients, staff and the community.
